Today we took a trip to Seaworld to show off Jimmy's new look. We had a lot of people ask what the band was for but 99% of them were really sweet about it. Jimmy had lots of fun and was all tuckered after the long day.

Other Day

Well, Jimmy still isn't fond of his new "hat" but there is plenty of time to adjust. Today was filled with lots of fun including picking our very first tomatoes! There are a few pictures of him with the band off during his break time. (An hour a day for cleaning the band and bathing)

Day One!

Well, he hates it. He has a big strange hat on and is cutting a second tooth, so today was not the happiest day for him. Luckily his skin is having no irritation to it which is great because he is super sensitive. We painted the band blue and we are still waiting for our decorations to get here by mail. Enjoy!!

The Big Day

So Today was the big day. We drove to San Diego in our new car





Waited for the nurse to bring in our DOC band to get it fitted



At first it was too big
But after these pictures were taken, it was trimmed back to fit his face better






But that didn't slow him down

He doesn't like it, but who would? I'm sure he will adapt in no time. We are decorating it tonight and will have new pictures up tomorrow to show you the final band. Here we go!!

Almost There

Tomorrow is the big day! We are so excited to get this started and behind us. Here is a picture of Jimmy's head to show you what we are fixing. You can see here how his head is growing diagonally instead of front to back. His ears and forehead are also uneven because of this. But with his DOC band, this will be fixed in no time!

On the move

Well, Jimmy isn't crawling yet but something exciting did happen!

Still waiting, but things are happening!

It's been a big month for us. Not only are we well on are way to getting his DOC helmet but Jimmy has his first tooth (which he uses to bite Daddy's finger all the time). He can get up on all fours and is SO close to crawling, and a new baby cousin was born on the 13th. When he was told about cousin Maddy this was his responce:

It's still far away, but we can't wait.

However, somehow we find a way to pass the time....

It finally happened!

Today was Jimmy’s picture appointment with Cranial Technologies. They took 3D picture of him to create his very own DOC band to correct his condition. After 3 months of financial confusion, today was his first step to a round head!
